UNIVERSITY LIBRARY AOTEAROA NEW ZEALAND: A NATIONAL BORROWING SCHEME FOR STUDENTS AND STAFF

Staff and students of member universities of the New Zealand Vice-Chancellors' Committee will be eligible to borrow, in person, from any other member university under University Library Aotearoa New Zealand (ULANZ): a national borrowing scheme for New Zealand's universities.

The New Zealand university libraries already share collections through the New Zealand interlibrary interloan scheme; ULANZ will allow borrowing in person by registered users. It is based on a successful Australian face-to-face borrowing scheme, University Library Australia.

ULANZ came into effect on 28 February, 2005.

Participating universities and the ULANZ services they offer, are detailed below:

  • Auckland University of Technology
  • University of Waikato
  • Massey University
  • Victoria University of Wellington
  • University of Canterbury
  • Lincoln University
  • University of Otago
