Peter Windle Scholarship

This Scholarship was established in 2008 and is made available through the generosity of Mr Peter Windle. The Scholarship will be offered every three years, with the inaugural scholar taking up his/her award in October 2009. The Peter Windle Scholarship provides an opportunity for South Island students who have already distinguished themselves academically to attend one of the most prestigious universities in the World. The Scholarship will provide funds to enable a student, from a school in the South Island of New Zealand, to undertake a first degree at Corpus Christi College, Cambridge.  

 

Eligibility: 

Candidates for the Scholarship must:

  1. be entered for the Year 13 senior school examination (for example, NCEA Level 3, Cambridge exams, etc) or equivalent senior school exam, at a South Island School, in the year of application;
  2. be New Zealand citizens or have New Zealand permanent resident status;
  3. be resident in the South Island at the time of applying and have completed at least two years of secondary schooling at a school in the South Island of New Zealand 

 

Value and number awarded: 

The Scholarship provides the tuition fees, a living allowance and a return economy airfare to England.

One scholarship is awarded every three years.
