Todd Foundation Awards for Excellence (Universities)

These awards are intended to support projects that promote excellence, have a wide franchise, and encourage the development of new concepts, technology or research which will benefit New Zealand. 

The funds for these awards are provided by the income from a substantial gift from the Todd Corporation Ltd. to the Todd Foundation.



Applicants must be New Zealand citizens, or hold New Zealand permanent residency, and must hold a university degree or diploma.


Value and number awarded

The value of each award varies - they can be between $2,000 and $8,000 for one year.

The number of awards made each year varies.
