Sir Robert Jones established this scholarship in 2015 to redress the balance in equity faced by women who arrive in New Zealand as refugees and who aspire to participate in tertiary level study.

It enables the recipients to graduate from a New Zealand university or Te Pūkenga or other approved tertiary institution, without significant student debt. The fund will assist successful applicants to complete an undergraduate degree in science, medicine, education, nursing or health-related fields, engineering, humanities, or other approved fields.

The Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC) was established in 1974. It delivers injury prevention initiatives and no-fault personal injury cover for everyone in Aotearoa New Zealand. ACC funds postgraduate research scholarships to deliver evidence that helps address complex challenges and informs longer-term investment decisions in injury prevention and sustained recovery, specifically in the context of injury compensation.

The funds for this scholarship are provided by the income from a bequest made by the late John Britton, from Otaki. John was passionate about helping people and wished to make a contribution towards supporting research into mental health in New Zealand with a long term aim to provide research that is of direct benefit to New Zealand and its people. The purpose of the scholarship is to provide funds for individuals to undertake research at a New Zealand or Australian university in the area of mental health. Preference may be given to research into alcohol and drug addiction.

The Milford Foundation scholarship was established in 2022 with the aim of reducing unequal access to tertiary education, by providing financial support to school leavers for whom cost is a barrier.  The Milford Foundation was born out of a desire to make a significant positive impact on our communities, and to help build a stronger New Zealand.

Since 2021 the NZ Transport Agency – Waka Kotahi (NZTA) (The Funder) has offered Transport Research Scholarships to Masters students. The Scholarships were established to support students undertaking postgraduate research focussing on transport and its role and impact on New Zealand society with the primary purpose of building the capacity and capability of transport research sector in New Zealand. The NZTA will again be offering scholarships for the 2026 academic year.

The purpose of the William Georgetti Scholarship is to encourage postgraduate study and research, normally in New Zealand, in a field that in the opinion of the Scholarship Board is important to the social, cultural or economic development of New Zealand.

This scholarship was established from the Estate of William Georgetti who passed away on 7 Feb 1943.  During his lifetime Mr Georgetti farmed an extensive property at Fernhill, near Hastings. 

Is your strength physics or mathmatics or a combination of them both?  This scholarship's aim is to enable scholars who have ability in these two subjects to further their study, or research, in meteorology. Other branches of science are acceptable however preference will be given to the further study of meteorology.
