The Department of Conservation (Te Papa Atawhai) established these scholarships in 2020 to support postgraduate research to help answer strategic and high priority questions around conservation related science in Aotearoa New Zealand.

Eligibility

Applications will be accepted from candidates -

 The Judith Clark Memorial Fellowship is to help music graduates undertake a special short-term project that will have long-term benefits for their future professional careers as musicians.

Projects that will be considered by the selection committee include attendance at a reputable summer school or summer academy or auditions for a longer-term postgraduate study programme.

The selection committee will consider applications for other short-term projects and will assess them on their merits.

The Rhodes Scholarship for New Zealand is a partnership between the Rhodes Trust and the Robertson Foundation.

The Cambridge Commonwealth, European & International Trust offers several prestigious awards each year to enable graduates of high academic ability to study at Cambridge University in Britain. 

This scholarship is currently under review and applications are not currently being accepted from candidates.  We will  update the website once a decision on future funding has been made

A scholarship for overseas postgraduate study in classical musical performance, including conducting.

This scholarship has been established by Annette Campbell-White in memory of her mother, Patricia Pratt.

Funding for the scholarship is made available through the Kia Ora Foundation founded by Annette Campbell-White for educational purposes.

The LB Wood Scholarship is to enable New Zealand university graduates to study in any discipline at a university or institution of university rank in the UK.

The funds for this scholarship are provided by the income from a bequest made to the University of New Zealand in 1934 by Lawrence Berry Wood, a retired Inspector of Schools.

This scholarship is to enable New Zealanders to study international relationships or social and economic conditions at a university overseas. Candidates will be planning to study at Masters or PhD level.

The funds for this scholarship are provided by the income from a bequest made in 1951 by Isabel Evelyn Spencer Watson to the University of New Zealand. The scholarship is a memorial to her nephew, Clement Gordon Watson.

The FMB Reynolds Scholarship aims to assist New Zealand law graduates, whose application has been accepted, to study Law at the University of Oxford.  

FMB Reynolds taught at Oxford from 1958 until 2000 and continues to be active in the legal profession in New Zealand. The FMB Scholarship  in  Law  to  Oxford  has  been  established  to recognise  the  support  that  Emeritus  Professor  Francis Reynolds,  Worcester College, Oxford has provided to New Zealand law students at the University of Oxford for over 40 years.
