Te Kāhui Amokura, the Committee on Māori, was formed in 2004. The Committee provides advice to Universities New Zealand – Te Pōkai Tara, the universities and government departments on strategies, policies and structures that relate to Māori and universities in areas of priority to Māori and Māori scholarship.
