Kiwi Music Scholarship

This scholarship is to assist outstanding New Zealand musical performers or conductors to continue their musical development either in New Zealand or overseas.

This scholarship was established by Mr Sven Stenbäck in memory of his wife Maida Stenbäck née Saunders, a New Zealander who loved the performance of classical music. Funding for the scholarship is made available through the Kiwi Music Scholarship Trust.

The scholarship will be awarded for classical instrumental performance (including vocal performance) or conducting.

Applicants will be New Zealand citizens who are normally resident in New Zealand.

Applicants will have completed or are completing an honours or masters degree in musical performance (including vocal performance) or conducting at a New Zealand university, or an equivalent musical qualification.
